Kathryn “Darlene” Davidson, 93, of Lebanon, died, Wednesday in Albany.
Darlene was born July 14, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Ira and Kate (Hightlinger) McMichael and was raised on a farm in Kansas. She moved to Newberg, Oregon her senior year of high school, where she met Raymond Davidson. They were married on June 29, 1946 in Newberg.
Darlene worked in the Portland Shipyards during WW II as a Rosie the riveter. The couple moved to Lebanon in 1952 from Newberg. Darlene worked locally for Citizen’s Valley Bank and later Key Bank until her retirement. Raymond preceded her in death June 2, 1999.
Darlene was a devote Christian and was a member of Crowfoot Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and grandson Scott Stermon
She is survived by her son Steven Davidson, daughter Jan Stermon, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. The family thanks all the caregivers at Brookdale Claire Ridge for the care they provided to Darlene.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 5, at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
