Pamela Sue Axtell, 52, was born June 11, 1966 in Lebanon, OR to Jerry Lee Axtell Sr. and Patricia Irene Parmenter (Davis). Pamela attended school in Lebanon, OR, Sutter, CA and graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1984.
Pamela enjoyed camping, hiking, outdoors of any kind, crafting, reading and spending time with family and friends. She always had an open heart and open house. She taught her children the value of love, friendship, and hard work, how to be brave and how to fight. She leaves behind a legacy in her children, grandchildren and in the memories of everyone that knew her.
Pamela was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and completed treatments later that year. In January 2018 she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized breast cancer. She fought with everything she had until her body overrode her heart. She succumbed to the disease on August 28, 2018 with loved ones by her side.
Pamela was preceded in death by her step-father Melvin “Leon” Morris. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Rebecca & Christopher Sinner, of Banks, OR; Morgan Axtell, of Brownsville, OR; Peter & Justice May, of Longview, WA; Claire May, of Lebanon, OR and Naomi Axtell, of Lebanon, OR, and her two grandsons Lucas and Jamison Sinner.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 12:00pm at Henry Hagg Lake, Sain Creek. There will be a potluck reception following the service to celebrate the life Pamela lived. All are welcome to attend.
