Norma L. Arrington, 77, of Sweet Home, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Mennonite Home in Albany.
She was born March 16, 1931 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Oda L. and Marie A. (Medres) Wheeling.
Norma married Ed Ellis in 1947. They moved Oregon in 1955, settling in Toledo. Norma and Ed divorced in 1969. She married John Arrington in 1979, they divorced in 1982.
Norma worked for Pacific Northwest Bell from 1957 until retiring in 1985. She lived in Toledo, Eugene, Medford, and Salem before moving to Sweet Home 7 years ago.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.
She is survived by her son Don Ellis of Sweet Home; her daughter Linda Brown and her husband Jim of Sweet Home; brothers Lee Wheeling and his wife Ulrika of Corvallis, Bob Wheeling of Sweet Home, Ted Wheeling and his wife Pat of Clatskanie, and Bill Wheeling of Toledo; sisters Doris Roach of Newport, Ruby Henson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Glenda Jackson and her husband Louis of Yuma, Arizona, Margie McDaniel and her husband Bob of Buffalo, New York, Debbie Settlemier of Sodaville, and Cindy Cray and her husband Kevin of North Tonawanda, New York; three grandchildren Kelley Ellis, Ed Brown, and Tina Kittel and her husband Josh; and three great-grandchildren Sierra, Amanda, and Christopher.
Norma was preceded in death by her sister Martha Wheeling and her parents.
At her request, no services will be held.
